Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Princeton is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach water safety and proper swim techniques to students, following our curriculum and standards. You will report to the Deck Supervisor, participate in paid training and mandatory workshops, and help maintain a safe, clean pool environment during class.

Prior lifeguard, childcare, or youth instruction experience is preferred; flexible shifts and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience as lifeguard, youth instructor/coach, camp counselor or childcare provider preferred.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students on water safety and proper swim techniques according to curriculum.
• Enforces safety rules, performs rescues and administers first aid when needed.
• Evaluates progress and completes required paperwork promptly.
• Interacts with parents/guardians about child development.
• Performs light cleaning and maintains pool equipment as required.
• Attends mandatory workshops and supports school events as assigned.
