Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the second shift (evenings) in a full-time position. The role involves preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team across multiple service lines including cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and robotics.

Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technologist program completion, with 6 months OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or surgical technologist program completion; 6 months experience may substitute education.
• 6 months recent surgical technologist OR equivalent experience in OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for the procedure per preference card.
• Maintain sterile technique and report any compromise.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, and equipment before patient entry.
• Prepare and label medications under RN Circulator supervision.
• Count supplies with RN Circulator before incision and after operation.
• Pass instruments to surgeon and assist during the operation as directed.
