Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or post-secondary education required.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required.
• Visual color acuity screening as required by unit.
• Graduate of accredited surgical technology program with 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Three years of full-time OR experience in last seven years as a Surgical Technologist (in lieu of the first four bullets).
• Preferred CST or TS-C certification.

Responsabilités

• Handles instruments, supplies and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Contributes to patient safety and quality of care by providing technical assistance to medical/surgical staff.
• Supports turnover of surgical procedures and collaborates with multiple service lines.
• Works with neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as required.
