Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Six months of surgical technologist experience in lieu of formal education may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure as per preference card.
• Anticipate problem areas and adjust instrumentation to individual patient.
• Maintain sterile technique and report any compromise promptly.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to patient entry.
• Assist in instrument handling, retraction, suturing, and other tasks as directed by the surgeon.
• Ensure wound closure aligns with CFA duties and assist with patient positioning.
