Job summary

Food Lion in Georgia is seeking a store operations leader for evening hours, responsible for decisions impacting store associates, merchandise quality and customer service, while upholding security, safety and food safety standards.

You will assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations, hire and train associates, manage performance, and promote Food Lion's guiding principles, values and strategy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast, easy service.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision and strategy.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Understand and use company tools (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, reports).
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maximize sales through service and minimize shrink via standard practices.
