Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.
• Certified Food Safety Manager or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion principles and values.
• Ensure security, safety, and food safety standards are met.
• Utilize company tools such as ACIS, CAO, scheduling, and reports.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maximize sales through customer service and minimize shrink.
