Job summary

Food Lion in Simpsonville, SC is seeking an evening shift Store Operations Leader to oversee all store activities after hours. You will work closely with Store Manager to drive customer service, merchandising quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.
• National Registry of Food Safety Professionals accreditation or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the entire store.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast and easy customer service.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to reflect Food Lion's Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and company assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions related to safety and food safety standards.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS, CAO, scheduling, and reporting systems.
• Support the achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink through proper practices.
• Ensure staffing schedules meet business needs across departments.
• Interact with associates to communicate expectations and training needs.
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and other required training.
