Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager for evening hours at the Edisto Island location to oversee daily operations, lead associates, and ensure policy compliance. You will hire, train, and coach staff, manage inventory and finances, and uphold safety and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Good judgment in problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and service.
• Provide leadership reflecting Food Lion's guiding principles and values.
• Ensure control of store funds and assets; observe safety and food safety standards.
• Use company tools for scheduling, inventory, ordering, and reporting.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
