Job summary

Food Lion in Greenwood, SC seeks an Evening Operations Manager to support the Store Manager with all shift activities. You will lead a team, drive customer service excellence, monitor safety and food safety, and ensure standards in merchandising and financial controls are met.

The role requires prior department management experience, strong communication, and the ability to motivate associates across multiple departments while upholding Food Lion’s guiding principles and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Managerial or department manager experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Proven leadership ability to coach and develop associates.
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions and handle complaints.
• Must meet physical requirements of the job and have food safety certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain fast, friendly customer service and store appearance.
• Lead in safety, security, and food safety compliance.
• Use company tools and reports to manage inventory, scheduling and budgets.
• Oversee staffing across departments to meet business needs.
• Complete CBT and required training modules.
