Job summary

Food Lion in Seneca, SC is seeking an evening operations leader responsible for retail store operations during the evening shift, guiding associates and ensuring merchandise quality, presentation, and customer service. You will support the Store Manager, hire and develop staff, coach performance, and maintain safety, food safety, and loss prevention standards across all departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the entire store
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy customer service
• Provide leadership and motivation to reflect Food Lion’s Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and company assets
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure safety standards
• Ensure compliance with guidelines, policies, security, safety and food safety standards
• Understand and use company tools (ACIS, scheduling, CAO, MIS)
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results
• Maximize sales through customer service and minimize shrink through loss prevention practices
• Ensure store conditions, customer service, product quality, freshness, availability and policy execution
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
• Schedule staffing across departments
• Interact with associates and provide training tools
• Complete CBT, CBT training packets, and courses
• Perform other duties as assigned
