Food Lion is seeking an evening operations leader to oversee store functions, ensure safety and food safety, and drive excellent customer service. You will supervise associates, mentor staff, and coordinate daily activities to meet store goals and policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and fast, easy shopping experience.
• Provide leadership aligned with Food Lion's guiding principles and values.
• Control store funds and assets; ensure safety and food safety compliance.
• Utilize reports and systems (ACIS, CAO, POS) for scheduling, inventory, and decisions.
• Support achievement of store budgeted results and minimize shrink.
