Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lead and develop associates across multiple departments.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the entire store
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast and easy customer service
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote Food Lion's Guiding Principles and values
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and company assets
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS, scheduling, ordering, and business information systems
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink through proper practices
• Ensure staffing schedules meet business needs
• Interact with associates to ensure tools and training for success
• Complete CBT and Training courses as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
