Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, disinfect and clean reusable surgical instruments using steam or chemical methods.
• Operate and interpret sterilization indicators and monitor biological indicators.
• Enter and retrieve information in the instrument tracking system; prepare cases.
• Support instrument preparation for scheduled cases and respond to requests from OR and clinics.
• Provide safe handling, storage and transportation of sterile packages; follow infection control guidelines.
• Collaborate with vendors and surgical reps for loaner trays and CEU coordination.
• Provide customer service to operating rooms and external customers; educate and train peers as needed.
