Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a Shuttle Driver/Bell-person to warmly escort guests, assist with luggage, and acquaint them with rooms and hotel features. Located in downtown Omaha, the role emphasizes hospitality, professionalism, and guest satisfaction.

Shifts are evenings and nights (Hours: 7PM-1AM / 8PM-2PM; hours may vary). This is an opportunity to grow within Marcus Hotels & Resorts, with benefits and access to career advancement across properties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to read English to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks and to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Ability to grasp, lift, and carry or move packages and luggage up to 45lbs continuously throughout shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling and walking significant distances on property.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with friendly and sincere welcome.
• Retrieve guest items from cars, busses, vans, and carts; load luggage onto a bell cart and transport to rooms.
• Drive guests to approved destinations in company van and perform other driving errands as assigned.
• Listen and respond to guest inquiries; provide accurate information.
• Maintain a professional image while at work.
• Monitor van maintenance and communicate needs to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation along with personal hygiene.
• Other duties as assigned.
