Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee, Inc. (BRC) seeks a supervisor for Community Technicians in New York City. You will assist the Site Coordinator with departmental oversight, manage records and reports, ensure unit coverage, and support client care and crisis intervention.

The role requires a high school diploma, some supervisory experience, and strong writing/computer skills. First Aid, Fire Safety, and CPR certifications are required or obtainable. CPR training willingness is noted.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• BA preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with homeless, mentally ill and substance abuse populations preferred.
• Residential settings experience preferred.
• Very good writing skills and computer literacy required.
• First Aid and Fire Safety certification or ability to obtain them required.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take CPR.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Community Technicians.
• Assist Site Coordinator with oversight of departmental tasks and goals.
• Record keeping, statistical reports, unit coverage, and client care/crisis intervention.
• Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed.
• Related duties as assigned.
