Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-focused care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support the care team under RN supervision to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board, or in process within four months of start; training provided.
• Completes yearly competency testing and maintains 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• In applicable states, registered with UAP Registry if required.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance during the shift.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, meals, and mobility as needed.
• Record vital signs and monitor changes in resident condition.
• Follow infection prevention and PPE policies and support the care plan.
• Document interactions and communicate with charge nurse about concerns and changes.
• Support housekeeping, dining, and wellness activities as required.
