Job summary

Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit organization, seeks a Nursing Assistant to provide patient-centered care in a long-term care setting. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, meals, and basic health care tasks under RN supervision.

Qualifications include CNA certification and either completion or enrollment in a CNA program, with a preference for prior long-term care experience. The position offers an evening shift and a schedule of 14 hours per week.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in process with State Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, meals, and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
