Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools is seeking a dependable custodian to perform intermediate to high-level cleaning and related duties in school facilities. You will supervise other custodial staff, maintain classroom cleanliness, protect safety, and support events on campus.

Responsibilities include supervising crews, preparing buildings for activities, inspecting restrooms and classrooms, and coordinating with staff, vendors, and fire safety officials.

Qualifications

• GED or some high school is required.
• Considerable custodial experience.
• High School Diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial staff; clean interiors; maintain grounds.
• Perform intermediate to high-level cleaning and operate equipment.
• Attend safety trainings and follow PPE protocols.
• Set up and break down for events; assist with deliveries when needed.
• Report to Principal and coordinate with fire safety inspections.
