Job summary

Rockland Woods Elementary School is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance duties on a 2nd shift. The position reports to the Facilities Operations Manager and offers a 12-month work year with the ESP salary scale.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to perform manual tasks, climb stairs, and operate related equipment. Regular attendance and willingness to participate in training are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent qualification.
• Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, etc., carrying loads, shoveling snow, operating gas powered equipment and other manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks: scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, waxing, dusting using hand or mechanical tools.
• Provide a presence to deter theft and vandalism and protect the school.
• Monitor heating/air conditioning systems and report issues.
• Assist with minor emergency repairs.
• Maintain grounds and inventory of custodial supplies.
