Job summary

Billings Public Schools seeks a Custodian I for an evening shift to support cleaning and maintenance of district facilities. Starts September 2026 as a 9-month position, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Salary is $20.99 per hour, with pre-employment physicals paid by the District. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may prefer one year of custodian experience; candidates should be able to perform moderate physical activity and operate

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent is required.
• One year of custodian work experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform moderate physical activity and operate cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs related work as requested by head custodian and/or administrator.
• Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas.
• Works Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and supports building operations.
