Job summary

Billings Public Schools is seeking a Custodian III for a 12-month position starting August 2026. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for 4 hours daily, with a starting wage of $23.01 per hour and included Vacation/Sick Leave and PERS Retirement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, machinery and supplies, and cleaning techniques.
• Some knowledge of supervision.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year of custodial work or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform as working supervisor of a custodial operation.
• Clean and maintain classrooms and facilities daily.
• Assist head custodians and supervise custodial staff.
• Report equipment damage or malfunctions.
• Ensure safety policies and Montana Safety Culture Act compliance.
