Job summary

Davenport Community Schools is seeking a part-time custodian at Central High School in Davenport, IA. The role runs 3:15 pm–11:15 pm, 7.5 hours daily, with summer day shifts as needed. Duties include cleaning, maintenance tasks, snow removal, and basic grounds keeping.

New hire rate is 18.17 USD per hour; internal bids considered through 9/16/26. External applicants welcome until filled. Must meet district qualifications and physical requirements, including lifting up to 56 lb.

Responsibilities

• Clean/sanitize desks, tables, and restroom fixtures.

• Wet mop floors and spot clean carpets/hard flooring.
• Remove trash and snow; assist with groundskeeping.
• Deliver supplies and maintain equipment; report issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned; clean restrooms; work summer shifts.
