Job summary

CUSTODIAN - WEST HIGH

Shift: 3:15 PM - 11:45 PM

Location: Davenport, Iowa

Internal bid deadline: 6/22/26 @ 4:00 PM.

External applicants: Open until filled.

Salary: New hire Entry Level Rate $18.17/hr. Current employees with seniority per Salary Schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Dust horizontal surfaces, clocks, overhead screens, and blinds.
• Wet mop floors, spot clean carpets and hard flooring.
• Assist with deep cleaning during break periods (strip, scrub, recoat, carpet extraction, cleaning restrooms, glass, and furniture).
• Trash removal.
• Remove snow.
• Minor grounds keeping.
• Lawn mowing.
• Assist with delivery of supplies.
• Properly maintain equipment.
• Report maintenance issues to Head and Lead custodians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean/sanitize desk/table tops, door handles, restroom fixtures.
• Clean glass.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift & carry up to 56 lb.

Ability to climb up to an 8-ft ladder and perform custodian tasks such as cleaning light fixtures.

Ability to climb steps and work on uneven ground.
