Job summary
St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
The role is a 3pm–11:30pm shift, with every other weekend and holiday coverage, and requires strong clinical skills and communication. Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Connecticut RN license with BLS certification.
- Acute care experience preferred; strong assessment skills.
Responsibilities
- Implements and monitors patient care plans; communicates patient condition.
- Coordinates care across disciplines for well-coordinated care.
- Carries out physician and nursing orders as directed.
- Assesses discharge planning needs with the care team.
- Provides individualized patient care based on holistic needs.
- Delegates tasks to appropriate nursing staff.
- Participates in daily interdisciplinary rounds and care planning.
- Adheres to ANA standards and ethics in practice.
- Develops and revises care plans; pursues professional growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
