Job summary

Great River Health is seeking a House Supervisor RN to coordinate nursing units and departments in the absence of leadership. You will provide leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and support high-quality patient care across hospital operations.

The role requires ADN with preferred BSN, 4–6 years of nursing practice, and supervisory experience. Certifications such as ACLS/BLS/PALS and IBON licensure upon hire are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• BSN or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years nursing practice preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and other required certifications per policy.
• IBON license upon hire in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Direct or supervise nursing care staff in patient care provision.
• Gather and document information to inform staffing decisions within budget.
• Meet with physicians to discuss care concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Regularly round on nursing units to monitor activity and staff support.
• Act as bed placement officer and Incident Commander during emergencies.
• Maintain emergency management plans and department policies.
