Great River Health Systems is seeking a House Supervisor RN to coordinate and direct activities across nursing units in the absence of the Nursing Director and Administration. This role leads nursing staff, ensures high-quality patient care, and represents the organization with professionalism and dedication.

The House Supervisor oversees emergency responses, staffing decisions, and collaboration with physicians while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• ADN is required.
• BA/BS in Arts/Sciences preferred.
• BSN or another related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Communicate nursing service philosophies, goals, policies, priorities, or procedures.
• Direct or supervise nursing care staff in patient care.
• Gather, analyze and document information to make staffing decisions within budget.
• Meet with physicians to discuss care concerns and resolve conflicts.
• Regularly round on nursing care units to assess activity and staff support.
• Act as bed placement officer in absence of a bed placement officer.
• Act as Incident Commander at start of emergency management plans.
• Maintain departmental policies and infection control standards.
• Observe and assess patients to identify customer service needs.
