Summa Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the H5 Medical Surgical Unit at the Akron Campus. This role is primarily evenings with 24-hour patient care coverage, weekends, holidays, on-call duties, and rotating off-shift coverage to support RN leadership.

The unit is 36 beds, with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6, and a focus on post-surgical care. Salary details align with base pay ranges and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Graduate of CCNE/ACEN accredited nursing program.
• BSN required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Current Ohio nursing license; certification within 2 years preferred or required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist RN Nurse Manager in maintaining safe, effective operations and continuity of care across all shifts.
• Plan short-, mid-, and long-term goals and processes for unit operations.
• Coach and evaluate the work performance of patient care staff in a designated area.
• Assist with unit budgeting and calculating return on investment for initiatives.
• Contribute to evidence-based standards of practice and process improvements in patient care.
• Collaborate with other patient care departments to support comprehensive services.
