Summa Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the 4N Medical Unit on the Akron Campus. This full-time role supports the RN Nurse Manager across all shifts, with evening/afternoon coverage and on-call responsibilities to ensure safe, continuous patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN with current Ohio license, 3+ years of nursing leadership, and certification. The unit emphasizes cardiac telemetry and acute care, fostering professional growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by CCNE or ACEN.
• BSN required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Clinical Certification preferred or required to obtain within two years.
• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a unit-based resource supporting the RN Nurse Manager in patient care operations across shifts.
• Plans and develops tactical short-, mid-, and long-term goals to improve unit operations.
• Coaches and evaluates the work performance of patient care staff.
• Collaborates with other departments affecting patient care operations and services.
