Job summary

New Narrative is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. The RSS works with a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless services for residents in mental health residential programs, focusing on daily living skills and therapeutic interventions.

The role includes crisis de-escalation, medication management participation, meal preparation, and documentation. Requires CPR cert, 18+ and ability to follow Oregon rules, with on-site evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• QMHA credentials preferred.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and capable of emergency procedures and disaster plan.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents to support goals and transition planning.
• Participate in Team Based Care and staff meetings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and medication assistance.
• Prepare meals and provide skills training opportunities.
• Facilitate group activities and community engagement.
