Job summary

New Narrative is a nonprofit focused on community-based mental health care in Oregon. We seek a Residential Support Specialist to join our team and support residents in clinical home settings toward personal goals with strength-based, person-centered approaches.

You'll assist with daily living activities, crisis de-escalation, medication support, meal preparation, and group activities, while maintaining a safe, clean environment and complying with Oregon rules for Home and Community Based

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to implement emergency procedures and disaster plan.
• Must be able to administer CPR and Naloxone (Narcan).
• Must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with residents to support movement toward goals and transition planning.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living (appointments, tasks, hygiene).
• Provide crisis intervention using nonviolent de-escalation techniques.
• Monitor and assist with medication management and scheduling.
• Prepare meals and facilitate group activities and community engagement.
