Job summary

New Vista is seeking a dedicated supervisor in Louisville to oversee direct care staff and residential operations at Bingham Gardens. The role requires ensuring client safety, coordinating schedules, and maintaining documentation in a respectful, rights-based environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in mental health or developmental disabilities, and a valid driver’s license. A Bachelor’s degree and 1 year supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience in Mental Health or Developmental Disability field.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services.
• Preferred: 1 year direct supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and rights of clients and treat them with respect.
• Directly supervise Direct Support Professionals for program and admin work.
• Maintain supplies for treatment plans in the home/unit.
• Provide training and mentorship to residential staff.
• Monitor documentation and address concerns promptly.
• Supervise incident, restraint, and staff injury reports for accuracy.
• Investigate client and staff incidents and injuries.
• Create work schedules and ensure daily coverage.
• Maintain staff conduct records and time card review.
• Utilize basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
