The YWCA of Western Massachusetts seeks a Direct Service Advocate to support residents in the Holyoke Young Parent Program. This full-time role relies on trauma-informed practice to empower families, with a focus on parenting, safety, and community engagement.

The position offers an evening schedule (3pm–11pm) in a 24/7 residential setting and a starting rate of $21 per hour. Candidates should have relevant human service experience and a valid driver’s license to support program mobility.

Formación

• A.A. or equivalent education or experience in a human service field, preferred.
• At least one year of counseling and direct service experience preferred.
• Experience in a domestic violence setting and with survivors of gender-based violence.

Responsabilidades

• Nurture a trauma-informed milieu, engaging with all participants on-site each shift.
• Provide support, advocacy, and role modeling to participants in residential programs.
• Complete safety checks (minimum four per shift) to ensure a safe living environment.
