Job summary

The YWCA of Western Massachusetts seeks a Part-Time Direct Service Advocate for the Holyoke Young Parent Program. You will support adult, teen and child participants living in residential services and serve as a positive role model in a trauma-informed setting.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and group activities, safety checks, documentation and daily AWARDS data entry, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote empowerment and parenting skills.

Qualifications

• A.A. or equivalent education or experience in a human service field.
• At least one year of counseling and direct service experience.
• Experience in a domestic violence setting and with survivors of gender-based violence.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advocacy and role modeling to program participants.
• Engage residents with 100% face-to-face contact during shifts.
• Maintain safety checks, complete documentation and AWARDS logs daily.
