Job summary

Mission Prep Healthcare in Los Angeles County is seeking compassionate Community Coordinators to support teens in our Residential Treatment Facilities. The role partners with clinical staff to provide safe, supportive environments and coordinated activities, guiding youths aged 12–17 toward healing and growth.

You will transport clients, assist with medication management under supervision, document in BestNotes, and uphold Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's preferred.
• Background Check: Must pass ADP Selective Screening Services and other Federal/State background checks.
• Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid US driver’s license for at least 3 years with standard insurance eligibility.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer, walk/stand for long periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and navigate stairs.
• Related Experience may include: Mental Health Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, Residential Counselor, Youth Counselor, Direct Support Professional, RADT, RADT Trainee, Detox Technician, Recovery Coach, Peer Recovery Specialist, RBT, ABA Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and transports clients safely to daily activities and ensures participant safety.
• Uses intervention and communication skills with clients and families daily and in crisis.
• Adheres to Joint Commission policies, infection prevention, and emergency procedures.
• Collaborates with the program nurse on medication management and documents medication usage.
• Maintains residence cleanliness and a safe environment for clients.
• Becomes an integral part of the Mission Prep community and supports clients’ wellness journey.
• Facilitates recovery activities and documents in the electronic health record with BestNotes.
• Conducts observation rounds and reports client behavior and participation.
• Collaborates in a multidisciplinary team to ensure individualized care plans.
• Conducts orientation for new residents and reviews safety procedures.
