Job summary

Labcorp in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the team. Schedule: Monday–Friday 4:00 pm–8:30 pm with rotating Saturdays. Perform blood collections, collect specimens, and enter data accurately.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy certification or training; Labcorp values strong communication and customer service, with travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients.
• Experience with phlebotomy procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; perform clerical duties as necessary.
