Telecare Corporation is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach I in Bakersfield, CA. You will engage with members to explore and meet their recovery goals, providing supportive conversations and coordinating with the care team to reinforce Telecare's Recovery Culture.

The role emphasizes de-escalation and respectful, person-centered care. Required skills include peer support experience and the ability to work in high-stress situations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of your date of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• One year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.

Responsibilities

• Engage with members to explore, create, and meet recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote Recovery Culture and RCCS principles.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation to maintain a least restrictive environment.
