Job summary

UMass Memorial Health’s Health Alliance Clinton Hospital is hiring a patient care technician in the Emergency Department. The role performs direct patient care and supports nurses under RN supervision, focusing on comfort and safety in a busy ED setting.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Clinton, MA with evening shifts and every-other-holiday/weekend coverage. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, and CNA/EMT/CMA or similar certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• One year of direct patient care experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control guidelines
• Ability to take direction, set priorities, and stay organized

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a safe, respectful, timely manner under RN supervision
• Document medical records, orders, and logs accurately and promptly
• Assist with EKGs, lab specimen collection, vital signs, and prep for procedures
