Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician III for the Night Shift in the Emergency Department. Under licensed clinicians, you will support patient care, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily living activities while ensuring safety and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Required is a high school diploma or GED and current BLS certification, with preferred experience at PCT II or EMT/Paramedic.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience as PCT II or 1 year of acute care/hospital or EMT/Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed clinicians to meet patient needs and comfort.
• 2. Observe and document changes in patient condition and vital signs.
• 3. Assist in daily living activities and patient transport using correct safety techniques.
• 4. Perform basic nursing support tasks such as feeding, hygiene, and intake/output recording.
• 5. Support unit operations, including equipment checks and supply replenishment.
