Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Glenview, IL is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician for Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Telemetry at Glenbrook Hospital. The role supports the RN/LPN with patient care tasks to ensure comfort and safety of patients.

Requires current BLS; CNA training preferred and nursing clinical rotation preferred. Responsibilities include hourly rounds, ADLs, vital signs, and patient transport; strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US
• CNA training course preferred
• Nursing clinical rotation in medical/surgical nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider required

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors; answer call lights and phones; assist visitors.
• Perform hourly rounding on all assigned patients.
• Assist in ambulation, repositioning and Safe Patient Handling as directed by RN/LPN.
• Provide basic ADL care: bathing, grooming, feeding, bed-making under supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers; orient patients to room and hospital.
• Document patient care activities and report changes to nursing staff.
