Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Transporter for the Evening shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. You will move patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds and support clinical teams with safe, efficient transport.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service, and the ability to multi-task. BLS certification within 180 days is required; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and walking long distances daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Compassionate, positive and upbeat disposition.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) within 180 days.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients in a safe, timely manner as directed by medical professional staff.
• Complete training and attend in-service education for transportation planning.
• Utilize transport software to support patient throughput and hospital capacity.
• Coordinate activities in the discharge holding area.
• Handle portable oxygen cylinders safely and properly.
• Receive and document patient transportation assignments and equipment transfers.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and sanitizing as needed.
