Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients to and from clinical units and diagnostic areas, using wheelchairs, stretchers or beds. You will support throughput, respond to alerts, and help maintain accurate information and inventory levels.

Responsibilities include safe transport, participation in trainings, and coordination in discharge areas. The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, compassionate service, and BLS certification within 180 days.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to provide high level customer service while remaining compassionate.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification within 180 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients safely and promptly as directed by clinical staff and policy.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings for transportation planning.
• Use transport software to support patient throughput and capacity initiatives.
• Coordinate activities in the discharge holding area and manage equipment like oxygen cylinders.
• Document transportation assignments and handle medical equipment sanitation and stocking.
