Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Transporter for the Evening shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. You will move patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds and support clinical teams with safe, efficient transport.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service, and the ability to multi-task. BLS certification within 180 days is required; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and walking long distances daily.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients in a safe, timely manner as directed by medical professional staff.

• Coordinate activities in the discharge holding area.
• Handle portable oxygen cylinders safely and properly.
• Receive and document patient transportation assignments and equipment transfers.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and sanitizing as needed.

Coordinates patient transport activities in the facility as well as at the entrances. Responds to various alerts to prevent and assist with emergent situations. Performs equipment distribution functions and inventory management for clinical equipment in clinical areas.
