Lehigh Valley Health Network is hiring for a patient transporter to move patients between clinical units and diagnostic areas. You will operate wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, supporting patient flow and safety throughout the facility.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, teamwork, and precise documentation. Evening shifts are available, with responsibilities including equipment handling and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
• Compassionate, positive and upbeat demeanor in interactions with customers/patients.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
• BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA) within 180 days.

Aufgaben

• Transport patients safely and promptly as directed by medical staff and procedures.
• Complete all training and attend in-service education and staff meetings for transportation planning.
• Support patient throughput and hospital capacity using transport software.
• Coordinate activities in the discharged patient holding area.
• Handle portable oxygen cylinders safely and dispose of used equipment appropriately.
• Obtain and prepare transport equipment as needed.
• Receive and document transportation assignments.
• Perform equipment functions including receiving, counting, stocking, transporting, cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
• Move oxygen tanks to designated storage areas and ensure proper holders.
