Job summary

UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a part-time Patient and Family Concierge for the 7 South telemetry unit. The role covers 2:30 pm–10:30 pm shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.

You will assist patients and families, coordinate destinations, manage supplies, transport, and telehealth setup to ensure a smooth, compassionate hospital experience. The Concierge focuses on patient and guest satisfaction, while supporting environmental, dietary, and transport tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or in active enrollment.
• Previous health care or customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work evenings and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Destination coordination: greet, guide, and escort patients and families.
• Environmental services: assist with rooms, supplies, and cleanliness.
• Dietary services: deliver meals per diet orders and safety guidelines.
• Transportation: move patients and equipment between units safely.
• Telehealth cart retrieval and setup: prepare and return carts as scheduled.
• Supply and equipment management: stock rooms and deliver items as needed.
• General: answer calls, assist, and support patient and guest needs.
