Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the TH16E Med Unit during the Evening Shift (22.5 Hours). The role supports nursing staff with patient care tasks, data collection, and unit operations in a busy inpatient unit.

The position requires completion of a PCT program or CNA with related training, plus BLS/CPR certification. Candidates should be patient-focused, with strong communication and teamwork skills, and able to handle diverse patient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training and PCT certification eligible.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon entry.
• Must complete PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

• Assists in data collection for unit Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Assists nurse in reviewing corrective actions for patient/family feedback and satisfaction.

• Completes mandatory annual education requirements for patient care technicians.
• Assists in admissions, transfers and discharge procedures as per unit operations.
• Maintains patient environment and equipment cleanliness and safety.
