Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Part Time Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the TH16E Medical Unit on the Evening Shift (22.5 hours). You will assist the professional nurse in caring for patients and families, ensuring safe, compassionate care while supporting unit operations and patient comfort.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, PCT program completion or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training, and BLS/CPR certification at entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; PCT program graduate with hospital experience.
• CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy course and PCT cert eligible with hospital experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required at entry; complete PCT online program within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in patient care tasks and maintain safety and comfort of patients.
• Support unit operations, including supplies, equipment and environment.
• Assist in data collection for Quality & Performance Improvement programs.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures per unit operations.
• Demonstrate NYU Langone Health Core Values in all activities.
• Perform phlebotomy, fingersticks for glucose, and ECG as assigned.
