Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the TH17W Medicine Unit on the Evening Shift (37.5 hours). The role assists licensed nurses in patient care, supports the unit’s safety, supplies, and environment, and upholds NYU Langone Health Core Values throughout daily duties.

The ideal candidate will have a PCT program background or CNA with EKG/Phlebotomy coursework, be current in BLS/CPR, and demonstrate strong patient-focused communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• PCT program graduate with at least 6 months hospital experience OR CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework and PCT certification eligible plus 6 months hospital experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in patient care and ensure safety and comfort for patients and families.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and environment in the unit.
• Contribute to unit quality improvement data and patient satisfaction measures.
