Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking patient-facing caregivers to support nurses in the Emergency Room. The role involves assisting patients with comfort, taking vital signs, and performing specified clinical tasks under RN supervision.

Eligibility includes CNA/EMT/CMA credentials or active nursing student status, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification.
• CNA/EMT/CMA or related certification preferred or Nursing student in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a safe, timely manner.
• Perform duties per RN direction and unit policies.
• Obtain EKGs, collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, check vitals.
• Handle documentation, orders, and logs accurately and promptly.
• Stock supplies and maintain unit cleanliness and safety.
