UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team for an evening shift. This non-exempt position supports the RN, provides patient care, and helps maintain a safe clinical environment in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Basic Life Support, and proficient English communication. Duties include vital signs, daily living activities, and collaboration with the care team.

Formación

• High school education or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic Medical Terminology knowledge.
• Must be able to remain calm under stress.

Responsabilidades

• Provides clear, timely communication to the RN about observations and changes.
• Maintains constant observation of high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assists with daily living activities and patient mobility.
• Performs vital signs and basic measurements.
• Performs EKG's, POC tests and specimen labeling.
• Assists with treatments and prepares equipment.
• Maintains patient safety and environmental safety.
• Precepts new Patient Care Technicians when needed.
