Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician I to join our inpatient care team in Worcester, MA. You will work under the direction of licensed clinicians, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic procedures to support patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support, with the ability to read and communicate in English. This position offers non-exempt hourly pay and shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong communication and English proficiency.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Assist with daily living activities and ambulation.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with basic procedures.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of patient care areas.
• Demonstrate respectful, culturally appropriate communication with patients and staff.
